Siege Weapons are special placeables which launch damaging effects at designated location. Depending on the ammunition they are loaded with, they can be very powerful. When you buy one, or create one through Tinkering, you are given a heavy item that can be emplaced somewhere in the world; once emplaced, any nearby character may operate these engines of destruction.
Quick tips about the system:
- To load one with ammunition, you must take items from your own inventory that are compatible with the weapon and load them into the placeable.
- When you begin operating a siege weapon, you will receive an item that enables you to target the weapon.
- Your ability to use siege weapons is based heavily on your ranks in Engineering.
- Portable/personal siege weapons will disappear over a server reset if not returned to your inventory.
