Multiclassing in EFU

The vast majority of multiclass options are available to all in EFU: City of Rings. However, some base classes cannot be multiclassed together without either talking to a DM first, via [Discord] or through applications.

Perks and Multiclassing

With the addition of several different perk systems in EFU, multiclassing is not so straight forward anymore. If you have a Fighter or Sorcerer Perk, multiclassing will disable them. Rogue has bonuses for remaining pure, but will not lose all of it's perks for multiclassing. Utilizing the perk system to your benefit when taking bonuses from rogue or ranger, can result in more diverse builds as well. There at this time, no restrictions on multiclassing when it comes to Perks, as the game handles this itself without the need for a DM.

Prestige Classes are not considered classes by the perk system and your PC will remain 'pure' with levels into any of them, retaining all bonuses.

DM Discussion Multiclasses

These multiclasses require talking to a DM before taking.

Monk and Any Other Class

Multiclass monks of any kind are carefully restricted. Monk characters should only take monk levels unless approved to do otherwise by a DM.

Paladin and Any Other Class

Before taking paladin levels along with another class, speak to a DM beforehand to approve it.

Application-only Multiclasses

These multiclasses are unlikely to be allowed but with a strong application, they may be.

Fighter, Swashbuckler, and Barbarian

Whether barbarian or fighter are your character's base class, do not multiclass into the other without an application.

Monk and Druid

The Monk/Druid multiclass is forbidden.

Prestige Classes

Prestige Classes do not count as multiclassing for the purposes of perk bonuses and have no mechanical requirements. (e.g. a Weapon Master does not need 4 ranks of Intimidate)
