Some accuse the Accountants Guild, nicknamed the "Quills" in common slang, of being little more than a street gang serving the ruthless whims of Guildmaster Oscar Tchamorrar—an unruly assortment of loan sharks, racketeers, and assassins. They are known to be deeply skeptical of Peerage authority over Ticker Square and of the outdated traditions these Peers serve. They value business acumen above political manipulation, direct action above pedantic votes and legislative bickering. In their minds, it is gold that truly rules the Square. And they intend to keep it that way.
