To prevent massive inflation of the amount of gold available to PCs, selling many types of items to NPC merchants is disabled, or the NPC has a maximum amount of GP they will offer for an item. Some items, such as gems, scrolls, potions, can be sold for a nominal fee to some NPC merchants. We encourage PCs to trade between themselves. EFU has thousands of custom items such as armors, weapons, jewelry, etc. your character will find throughout the game world, which you will have to make the decision to use, leave, or store and trade with other characters since trading with an NPC for that item is not possible. You will quickly find your character cannot carry everything they come across!

It is normal for characters to only bother to pick up and carry exceptional items that they can use or think they can sell to other characters.
